Biography of Patty Warhol
Patty Warhol, a former music major from the University of Minnesota, moved to California in 1980 and unexpectedly ended up becoming active in the ocean world of whales and the marine environment. (This is particularly strange, because she does not do well on boats and can't even swim.) She was for ten years Executive Director of the American Cetacean Society in San Pedro, California and co-editor of their journal, Whalewatcher. She has been grantwriter for the Wild Dolphin Project, Jupiter, Florida; Ocean Alliance, Lincoln Massachusetts; and the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium in San Pedro. For the last five years Patty has been the grantwriter for the Algalita Marine Research Foundation.
