Biography of Diane Wiley
Diane brings 35 years of broad-based experience and a solid background in fundraising, marketing, and program management to Algalita. She has special expertise in research, editing, and writing…creating compelling messages to captivate and motivate the target audience. Diane also has the ability to edit and consolidate technical data, creating clear, concise text for various constituencies including the general public, legislators, and school-age children. Her range of experience includes stints in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, in the arts, environment, health care, and politics. Her consulting service allows her to assist nonprofit organizations in securing grants and contract funding from private foundations, corporate donors, and government entities, as well as providing training in effective grant writing and grant program management.
A native Californian, Diane was born and raised in the South Bay area where her family still resides. She moved to Long Beach in 1984 where she currently lives with her four-legged family and is actively involved in the community.
