Destination 3 Degrees July-August Summer Update

July 2010.  In an adventure spanning more than 300 nautical miles and three degrees of latitude, Jenny and Morgan became the first women to stand-up paddle the entire Hawaiian Island chain.  Paddling from one island to the next, they crossed one open ocean channel after another.  The last leg….the 82 mile Kauai Channel, became a 16 hour feat, taking them through a sunset, moonrise, moonset and another sunrise.

This great challenge was undertaken to raise awareness about the impact of plastic marine pollution in the world’s oceans and to raise funds to support the Algalita Marine Research Foundation in their ongoing research.

August 2010.  Morgan is visiting Sweden.   D3D was represented at two booths at the Outdoor Retailer show held in Utah.  The next happening is their  presentation at the Tahoe Nalu event August 21 and 22.  The number of people expected to attend this two-day

Stand-up Paddle festival is incredible and it's going to be a

fantastic opportunity for them to talk more about Algalita !
